Please come support this amazing event!   Lots of live and amazing local music at the BEATnik, on January 17th, 2015, starting at 8pm.

This event will raise money for the purchase of instruments and will seek instrument donations to benefit the Griot Youth Program of Clarksdale, MS. This program offers after school programming to keep teens out of trouble and to introduce them to a variety of arts disciplines, including vocal, blues instrumental, visual arts, and culinary arts. This program works tirelessly to preserve the cultural heritage of the Mississippi Delta and they need our support!  Please come listen to some great music and consider donating an instrument for this worthy cause.

This benefit concert is being organized by Tulane University student Jackson Hardy and Tulane instructor Jayur Madhusudan Mehta,  through an affiliation with the Tulane Center for Public Service and the Nocca Institute.

The BEATnik is at 1638 Clio St, New Orleans, LA
